I have same problem i dont see any contacts from my facebook or phone contacts on instagram. I do not see multiple tabs option either. Find your friends from facebook and contacts has been removed.

In reply to Charles Snyder. What do you mean by multiple tabs? If you sync your FB account with Instagram, there are no two different tabs. Your FB account just works inside Instagram.
